How To Create The Life You Want Out Of The Life You Have

clock001 "It is never too late to become

what you might have been."

Time Line Therapy™

Time Line Therapy (TLT) views is that the unconscious mind is to store and organise memories. It is also the domain of the emotions. All emotions are generated by, maintained by, and are the responsibility of the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind also represses memories with unresolved negative emotions. That is, the negative emotion will remain intact until the issue that caused the emotion is resolved. But as well as repressing these memories, the unconscious mind presents the repressed memories in order to release negative emotions. Also, the unconscious mind keeps repressed emotions repressed for protection, it runs the body, preserves the body, and it enforces morality that it believes to be true. It takes direction, follows orders, controls and maintains perceptions, generates stores, distributes and transmits energy, responds with instinct and habit, need repetition-building habits, continually seeks out more and more, functions optimally with a minimum of parts, is meant to be symbolic, and works on the principle of least effort.

Has anyone ever told you that you overreacted to a situation but you did not agree? Have you ever missed out on events, such as family gatherings, because of negative emotions? Have you ever set goals in the future and had them not happen?

“Let your heart be at peace. Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source. If you don't realise the source you stumble in confusion and sorrow. When you realise where you come from you can deal with whatever life brings you.” Lao-Tzu

Time_Line2Our past experiences and the memories that go with them affect how we approach present day situations. When preventing us from expressing ourselves in an appropriate way these experiences and memories stop us from achieving the results we want. Time Line Therapy™ techniques can assist us to change all that.

Time line therapy (TLT) is an branch of NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis. It was developed by Tad James in 1985. TLT helps us to make sense out of our temporal experiences, as well as change our understanding of how negative emotions and limiting decisions affect us, and also describes how to create a meaningful perspective of the future.

Time Line Therapy™  is a process that assists us:

  • To let go of Negative Emotions from the past
  • To let go of Limiting Decisions from the past
  • Create our future the way we want it
  • A simple process that allows you to let go of all the negative emotions and limiting decisions from the past and to create your future the way you want it.

Your "Time Line" is how you unconsciously store your memories or how you unconsciously know the difference between a memory from the past and a projection of the future.

Behavioral change in an individual takes place at an unconscious level. You can't change consciously. The Time Line Therapy™ allows you to work at the unconscious level. It releases the effects of past negative experiences to change "inappropriate" programming in minutes, rather than days, months or years.

First, negative emotions block the flow of energy in the body. The latest thinking in quantum biology indicates that emotions trapped in the body have the real possibility of creating functional blockages in the neurology, the nervous system, so trapped emotions could actually cause the brain to send wrong signals to the various organs in the body, or perhaps no signals at all!  That means that trapped emotions in the body, which we haven't let go of, can be not only the source of discomfort, but also the source of other physical problems like heart attack.

Limiting beliefs often limit us and keep us from being able to create the future being the way we say we want it.  Do you have any limiting beliefs? Maybe you believe it is not OK for you to feel good about yourself, or not OK for you to experience your magnificence. Maybe you believe it isn't OK for you to be brilliant, or not OK for you to express yourself clearly, or not OK for you to be able to have good relationships or maybe you believe that you can't have good relationships -- with your children, or with the opposite

Overview

From the time of Aristotle to William James to Freud and Jung to Milton Erickson, M.D., people interested in Psychology have been searching for a way to adequately describe the human experience of time. Time Line Therapy, as a model, has the potential to not only make sense out of our temporal experience, but also to change our understanding of how negative emotions and limiting decisions affect us, as well as describing how to create a meaningful future, because with Time Line Therapy we now understand the human temporal experience - and can change the basic elements that make up someone's history.
