NLP
“If our senses were fine enough, we would perceive the slumbering cliff as a dancing chaos.” Friedrich Nietzsche
He meant that literally: A rocky cliff is indeed a mass of dancing atomic particles, spinning and vibrating at tremendous speeds. This page you are reading, the chair you are sitting on, your own body—none are what they seem to be. Book, chair, body—everything is circling in a cosmic dance, appearing to us as solid form, yet if our senses were fine enough, we would stand around with our mouths hanging open at the glory and grace of it all.
The core idea of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) is that an individual's thoughts, gestures and words interact to create one's perception of the world. By changing one's outlook, therefore, a person can improve his attitudes and actions. These observations can be changed by applying a variety of techniques. NLP is the study of how we think, feel and act, marked by an intense curiosity about how (rather than why) human beings get the results they do. NLP teaches that a person can develop successful habits by amplifying helpful behaviors and diminishing negative ones. NLP works as an owner's manual for the human brain. Positive change can come when one carefully reproduces the behaviors and beliefs of successful people (called “modeling”). It also states that all human beings have all the resources necessary for success within themselves.
NLP incorporates insights from behavioural and Gestalt psychology, family therapy, hypnotherapy, linguistics, information theory and anthropology among many other disciplines to generate fast and successful results in every field of human endeavor. Solving one's problems is all about learning - at the unconscious level, which is where it counts - and learning can happen very quickly.. NLP transform the lives of hundreds of people, LOA and NLP Coaching when combined together offers lasting change in individuals in a relatively short amount of time. The reason it is so powerful is because it works to change how the brain is “wired” - rewire the brain, and confidence, motivation or whatever emotion you want to experience is easily accessible when it used to be out of reach.
"NLP could be the most important synthesis of knowledge about human communication to emerge since the explosion of humanistic psychology in the sixties. It may be the ultimate behavioral engineering tool" - Science Digest
What is NLP
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) studies the structure of how humans think and experience the world. Obviously, the structure of something so subjective does not lend itself to precise, statistical formulae but instead leads to models of how these things work. From these models, techniques for quickly and effectively changing thoughts, behaviours and beliefs that limit you have been developed.
Many of the models in NLP were created by studying people who did things exquisitely well. Models such as meta-model, meta-program, sensory acuity, Milton-model, representational systems and sub modalities among others, provide a diverse set of tools for creating change in yourself and others.
Someone who wanted to create a model for learning to drive a car really well, might approach a expert in the field something like this - Instead of asking an expert driver, " How do you drive?" ("Very well, thank you."), they would be concentrating not on the content of what they did but on the underlying structure such as how they represent driving in their mind, the beliefs and attitudes they had about driving, the strategies they used in making decisions, how often they change their oil, (skip that last one) among other factors.
“The moment has no time.” Leonardo Da Vinci
Let's use something called sub modalities as an example of how a model works. By understanding how we perceive the world through our five senses, we can then understand how some people can respond very resourcefully in a situation and others do not. Once you learn how those who remain resourceful set up their representations, then it's a simple matter to teach others to do the same thing.
The Example
Imagine seeing an enormous spider dangling directly in front of your face. Now clear your mind (sorry, didn't want to leave that image hanging around). A common way for people to have a phobic reaction to spiders or anything related to them, is to picture a spider completely oversized and far too close in their minds. Spiders are tiny, well-mannered creatures that are far more frightened of you than you should be of them but try telling that to someone with that particular phobia.
So, why don't these phobic people notice the images they're creating? The popular belief is that we don't pay much attention to what's going on in our unconscious. If you considered the enormous amount of information your brain has to process each day, it's probably best that we don't spend much time dwelling on it (otherwise, we would probably sit around babbling and drooling and eventually starve to death).
Well, what do we do about our friend with the phobia, Extra-strength cans of Raid for a house warming gift?
NLPers ask the question, "If another person can have fun playing with their pet spider, what can we learn about them that we could teach the phobic person so they can play with spiders, too?" (Or something like that). The spider-lover would most likely have an image representing spiders that was proportionally correct and at a reasonable distance and possibly other factors not worth getting into right now. Knowing the difference, the NLPers can use one of many techniques to help the phobic person relearn their reaction to spiders so that it is similar in nature to the spider-lover's (hopefully less of the lover part).
The above example may sound complicated but phobia treatments often take less than half an hour. An powerful change with a minimal investment of time and effort.
NLP is based on many useful presuppositions that support the attitude that change is imminent. One of the most important is, NLP is about what works, not what should work. In other words, if what you're doing isn't working, try something else, anything else, regardless of whether what you had been doing should have worked. Flexibility is the key element in a given system, the one who is most likely to do well responds to changing (or unchanging) circumstances. That's one reason NLP has made so much progress in an area where such is not the norm. Innovators try out things with little regard as to its "truth" or "reality", NLP is much more interested in results and giving people what they want from life (sappy yes, but "true" nonetheless).

EFT
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner with the guidelines, philosophies and tuitions from Gary Craig.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture in which the fingertips are used to tap and stimulate certain of the body’s energy meridian points while the client is tuned in to the problem (the negative emotion). We are still learning why EFT works so well. The theory is that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."
EFT foci on the therapeutic disruptions in the body energy system. These disruptions hold in place deeply set ‘unconscious psychological beliefs’ that block healing or, in the case of personal and profession issue development, can stop advancement or success.
EFT studies point/suggests that depression, anxiety, stress, ineffectiveness and even sometimes physical illness can be caused by unseen aspects of your humanity, for example out of balance energy meridians or disempowering attitudes, beliefs and values.
These imbalances and beliefs exist without you even knowing they exist, and yet they are as real for you as the sunlight, as fundamental to your life as the air you breathe. They are like a pair of sunglasses that you wear and view the world through without knowing it.
No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it. Albert Einstein
These imbalances manifest emotionally and mentally as ‘unexamined assumptions’ and they literally frame your world view; and yet you are largely unaware of the fact that you don’t think a single thought that isn’t in some way influenced by them. They literally can create the boundary of what is and is not possible for you in the areas of life they relate to.
It is a well known fact that changes happen when you feel positive, inspired, motivated, engaged or enthusiastic and better results naturally start showing up. If you plant seeds in infertile soil, no matter how much you tend and water them they don’t grow. Put these same seeds in good soil and they grow easily and effortlessly all by themselves.
EFT is based on the ancient principles of acupuncture, and more recent advances through the study and application of kinesiology (study of the motion of the body). EFT is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body’s energy system, without the discomfort of needles or painful prodding. EFT incorporates an emotional element in the healing process, addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely contributing cause of physical disease, psychological and emotional dysfunction, and personal performance limits.
"Based on impressive new discoveries involving the body's subtle energies, EFT has been proven clinically effective (over 80%) for Trauma, Abuse, Stress, Anxiety, Fears, Phobias, Depression, Grief, Addictive Cravings, Children's Issues and hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches, body pains and breathing difficulties. It is the missing piece to the healing puzzle. Often works where nothing else will." The official EFT web site
As a well known fact, negative emotional experiences can disrupt the energy meridians that run through our body. The physical changes we feel from those disruptions become attached to the memory of that experience and affect the way we see the world - until we heal that disruption. When properly applied, EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attached to it, and quite often removes the resulting symptoms - allowing healing to take place on both a conscious mind level and subconscious body/mind level.
"The cell is a machine drive by energy. It can thus be approached by studying matter, or by studying energy. In every culture and in every medical tradition before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy." -- Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in Medicine
The subtle energy that circulates throughout the human body has been largely ignored until very recently by western scientists. As a result, our use of this energy for emotional and spiritual healing has been neglected.
EFT considers a disruption of these subtle energy forces to be the cause of emotional upsets – negative emotions. EFT generates positive results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods in eliminating negative emotions – emotional trauma and even physical pain. We see the results over and over again every single day.
EFT can provide relief for a very wide range of physical symptoms. The link between negative emotions and physical ailments is now unmistakable; and EFT often provides relief in minutes to emotional and physical issues that have gone unresolved for years.
"Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me." Eric Robins, MD .
