"You cannot teach someone anything. You can only help them discover it for themselves" - Galileo Galilei
My name is Dan Dias and I am a qualified and experienced NLP, Mindfulness, Life and Executive Coach. I practice in the heart of Canary Wharf, London and I often travel to meet clients at their offices or homes in the London Area or, by special arrangement, elsewhere.
My role as a mindfulness coach is to assist my clients not only to solve problems, but to understand why they are having problems. By defining what is important to them and identifying the need to change what is no longer working in their lives I can point them to a more sustaining new and satisfying and worthwhile life. My success is defined in my clients’ terms. Mindfulness coach is a powerful combination of technical skills around controlling one's awareness and attention together with a set of positive attitudes that one needs to bring to the practice and application of these technical skills. Nothing is lost when you break through!
Have you ever wondered why thoughts and problems are always related with time? It is all about what we had, how good it was or what we want and how good it will be when we get it, but never about what we are and where we are now. What we value most can ruin us and what we reject most can save us. My coaching is not about helping you making you life just a bit better, so you can be happier till you find another obstacle or make you more successful so you can continue to live in fear of losing it all. If you are the paramount there is no struggle. My coaching is about helping you find the diamond in your pocket. Mindfulness coaching is not about makeover but realisation of oneself, it is about bringing peace and balance without compromising mind, body and spirit. From there you can be your true self and look into life from within.
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." Albert Einstein.
It is very important to understand that mindfulness coaching is not about making you passive to life, on the contrary it is about making you take action from awareness and reality. It is about you taking full control without fear of losing. Why do if you can be?
Most people, when they are confused, disturbed, want to return to the past; they seek to revive the old religion, to re-establish the ancient customs, to bring back the form of worship practised by their ancestors, and all the rest of it. But what is necessary, surely, is to find out whether the mind that is the result of the past, the mind that is confused, disturbed, groping, seeking - whether such a mind can learn without turning to a guru, whether it can undertake the journey on which there is no guide. Because it is possible to go on this journey only when there is the light which comes through the understanding of yourself, and that light cannot be given to you by another; no Master, no guru can give it to you, nor will you find it in the Gita or in any other book. You have to find that light within yourself, which means that you must inquire into yourself, and this inquiry is hard work. No one can lead you, no one can teach you how to inquire into yourself. One can poi nt out that such inquiry is essential, but the actual process of inquiring must begin with your own self-observation.
As with Law of Attraction or NLP there is no magic or alchemy of any kind, it is just simple science and the laws of quantum physics combined with what you really are and where you are now. There is nothing to learn, only to discover. To change the world you have to change yourself first, to understand the world you have to understand yourself, to face life you have to drop the illusions, only then you can make progress. What you have now is just what can be lost, find what cannot be lost and you find treasure. I could help you to use your mind and not be used by it. Control your thoughts and you control your mind, control you mind and your true self will surface.
“It may be when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey” Wendell Berry
I know that effective coaching needs to take into account the whole person and their life in context, not just focus on problems. My coaching helps people understand themselves better; identify concerns and issues, to identify ways forward with clarity and confidence and to remove real (or perceived) barriers to progress.
